Request For Metes And Bounds Subdivision; Case Of MT, Jim <br /> Nachtwey: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve Mr. Jim Nachtwey's request for a metes and bounds subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers $orteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #14: Request For Metes And Bounds Subdivision; Case Of Mr. B~¢a <br /> Bacon: <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Heitman and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to approve Mr. <br />Bruce Bacon's request for a metes and bounds subdivision which will be subject <br />to the same limitations placed on a previous subdivision of this property. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox stated that Council should review that <br />previous subdivision action prior to making an decisions. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman withdrew his motion and Councilmember Schlueter withdrew her <br />second. <br /> <br />Council consensus was to table Mr. Bacon's request until the next regular <br />Council meeting at which time Ms. Norris should have information available <br />regarding a previous subdivision of this property. <br /> <br />Case #15: Information On Business Incubator Project: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter to <br />continue discussions with the City of Anoka on a joint incubator project. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox stated that he feels working towards a <br />joint incubator project with Anoka is fruitless; Ramsey will have to accomplish <br />it on their own; this is another example of a socialized business program. Ms. <br />Norris stated that EDC wants to know if Council is interested in continuing to <br />pursue a business incubator either jointly with Anoka or independently. <br /> <br />Motion ~-~d~or~laC~0~a~'~ond. ~ '~~ <br /> <br />/M~.t~iQp~y Counc~xmem~er Schlueter and seconded by Mayor Heitman to continue to <br />support the Economic Development Commission in the manner which they determine <br />to be in the City's best interest with respect to a business incubator project. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox stated that he was on the business <br />incubator subcommittee and he sees a joint effort as being fruitless; council <br />has to take into consideration city funds used to pursue a project like this. <br />EDC Commissioner Fults stated that communities cannot hibernate; they must work <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
