Voting No: None. <br /> <br />American Paving And Construction Company: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that American Paving and Construction was retained by the <br />City to do ditching improvements; their work did not meet the City's specs <br />and they refused to return to the job. The original contract was for $2,513; <br />the City made a $500 payment and spent $780 bringing the project up to spec; <br />the contractor agreed not to do the sodding for which another $175 was <br />deducted; the City offered American Paving $1,058.00. The attorney for <br />American Paving indicated that the matter would go to court. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Counc ilmember DeLuca supporting the <br />City Attorney's position documented in his letter of October 7, 1986 to MaryLee <br />Adams, attorney for American Paving and Construction. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Discuss Requirement FOr Certificate Of Lot Survey: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that one of the City's requirements for building permit <br />applications is a certificate of lot survey; believe the real intent of this <br />requirement was something on the order of a site plan to show lot size, <br />building(s) and easement(s) location, etc. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg stated that the certificate of lot survey is useless <br />unless a surveyor is hired to measure off buildings and easements on a parcel. <br /> October 28, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 17 of 21 <br /> <br /> <br />
