Pre -Demolition Survey <br />8020 — 147th Ave. NW, Bldgs. 1 & 2, Ramsey, MN <br />Page #3 <br />METHODOLOGY <br />Bulk Asbestos Sampling <br />Techtron Engineering Inc. <br />TEI Job #F12-2879 <br />September 4, 2012 <br />Bulk samples were collected by wetting the material in question with amended water. A <br />small portion of this material was then removed and placed directly in a sealed container for <br />transport to Techtron Engineering's in-house laboratory. <br />Bulk Asbestos Analysis <br />Analysis was performed by Techtron Engineering in accordance to EPA methodology. This <br />method detects asbestos in volumetric concentrations of 1 % or greater. Bulk samples were <br />checked for the following asbestiform minerals: chrysotile, amosite, crocidolite, <br />anthophyllite, and tremolite-actinolite. The lab sample results can be found in appendix II. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Bulk sample results and visual observations were used to identify and homogeneously group <br />materials within each area. Generalizations were then made on the types of materials that do or <br />do not contain asbestos. <br />Bulk Sample Results <br />Bulk samples results are located in Appendix I sorted alphabetically by "Sample Type". <br />Appendix II contains sample results from the lab. Appendix III contains a site map with floor <br />plans of the buildings. <br />Summary of Asbestos -Containing Materials <br />Building 1 <br />No asbestos -containing materials were identified during the survey of the building. <br />Building 2 <br />No asbestos -containing materials were identified during the survey of the building. <br />
