evaluating the proposals and bringing a recommendation to City Council as soon as September <br />23, 2003. <br /> <br />The Commission is reminded that the funding for this planning endeavor is Park Dedication <br />proceeds from the Villages of Sunfish Lake. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood passed out three proposals to the Commission and <br />explained the plans have not been reviewed. H e stated the Commission will b e very closely <br />connected to the process. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood noted that one of the criteria of the proposal award would <br />be based on the cost. The housing committee was looking at this area and they may look for an <br />award of the proposal to reconcile what the housing committee is doing in this area. <br /> <br />Case #4: Approve Section #4 of the Master Trail Plan <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood explained earlier the Commission received a draft Section <br />#4 of the Master Trail Plan by mail and the purpose of this case is for each of the Commissioners <br />comments to be integrated into the section and forwarded to the consulting firm. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated section five will be available for the next meeting <br />along with the maintenance piece. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johnson explained to the Commission that she called Mr. Dave Chmielewski to get <br />a feel for what was going on. She realized Mr. Chmielewski was taking this on from someone <br />else. She noted what would be helpful would be a timeline and Mr. Chmielewski expressed to <br />her that he would like to accomplish one and a half sections a month. She would also like a <br />revised table of contents and a copy of the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood indicated he would like some feedback on section four <br />from the Commission. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns explained she did not have too many changes but section four was in a <br />friendlier format. <br /> <br />Commissioner S hryock indicated t hat section four should b e m ore than an introduction. She <br />thought they should be more in the meat of the plan by section four. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns noted she would like some direction stated in the Master Trail Plan. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds explained he did not think they have gotten what they wanted. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns noted in the safety area, it did not address signage or anything like that. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/September 11, 2003 <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
