Molion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca directing City Staff to <br />research the feasibility and cost for acquisition of property north and adjacent to <br />Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Pearson, Cich <br />and DeLuca. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Consider Fire Protection Contract With Anoka-Champlin Joint <br /> FireDepartment: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley recommended City Council approval to renew the contract with Anoka- <br />Champlin Joint Fire Department with the two year termination clause modified so the <br />term of the agreement lasts until December 31, 1990. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to enter into a <br />contract with the Anoka-Champlin Joint Fire Department for fire protection services <br />until December 31, 1990. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cich stated that he does not feel the Ramsey <br />Volunteer Fire Department will be self-sufficient by December 31, 1990 and he is <br />reluctant to specify a termination date on the agreement with Anoka-Champlin. Mayor <br />Reimann and Councilmember DeLuca noted that if a need becomes evident, an extension to <br />the contract with Anoka-Champlin can be negotiated. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, <br />Peterson and Cich. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Review Action Plan Resulting From Council's Strategic <br /> Planning Workshop: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley presented a draft action plan resulting from the December 17, 1988 <br />strategic planning workshop with Council and Staff. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Cich to table discussion of the <br />draft action plan resulting from the December 17, 1988 workshop until the next <br />regular City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, <br />Peterson and Cich. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: <br /> <br />Consider Request For Return Of Investigation Fee To Mr. <br />Bradley Kern For An Off-Sale Liquor License Investigation: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to grant the <br />request of Mr. Bradley Kern for a refund of $250 for a liquor license investigation. <br /> <br />City Council/January 24, 1989 <br /> Page 11 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
