PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann adjourned the regular Council meeting at 7:38 p.m. in order to conduct the <br />following public hearing: <br /> <br />Proposed Anoka County Rum River Erosion Control Ordinance to limit wake from <br />boats and water skiing on the Rum River within City limits. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the meeting back to order at 7:56 p.m. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to approve <br />the following items contained in the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1) Approve license applications. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #89-02-16 approving first half bills for February, 1989 in the <br />amount of 700,340.10. <br /> <br />3) Adopt Resolution #89-02-17 authorizing redesignation of precincts/polling places. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #89-02-18 receiving petition and ordering feasibility report for <br />156th Avenue N.W. street Improvement Project #89-2 from Ramsey Blvd. N.W. <br />to High Point Addition. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution #89-02-19 entering into a joint powers agreement with the <br />Northern Mayor's Association to market the economic opportunities of the northern <br />region of the Metropolitan Area. <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />Approve agreement with Victorious Jesus Church to use the lower level of the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center for Sunday church services for a period of one year <br />beginning February 5, 1989. <br /> <br />7) <br /> <br />Authorize advertising for bids to provide veterinarian services for the annual spring <br />pet clinic on Saturday, April 29, 1989. <br /> <br />8) <br /> <br />Receive report from City Attorney Goodrich regarding the status of the Marilyn <br />Gallagher vs. the City of Ramsey and Sue Van Wagner law suit. <br /> <br />9) <br /> <br />Receive report from Economic Development Commission regarding business <br />hospitality program. One of the programs the Economic Development Commission <br />is currently pursuing is a business hospitality program which will include a visit to <br />a new business, preparation of a proclamation from the Mayor, and an article in the <br />Ramsey Resident newsletter. The purpose of this program is to demonstrate <br />support for local businesses establishing in Ramsey, to support the economic <br />community, and to establish a line of communication between the City of Ramsey, <br />the Economic Development Commission, and the business. <br /> <br />lO) <br /> <br />Receive and review letter from Mr. Jay McLinden, Anoka County Administrator, <br />regarding "Truth in Taxation" law. Mr. McLinden is requesting that cities, school <br /> <br />City Council/February 14, 1989 <br /> Page 4 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
