Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt <br />Resolution #89-04-70 receiving bids for historical archaeological survey for the River's <br />Bend Park South Development Improvement Project #89-1 and awarding bid to <br />Archaeological Research Services. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca noted that the bid was for $790 but the <br />resolution indicates there is a $1500 limit on the work. Mr. Raatikka noted that the cost of <br />the work could increase if a lot of historical artifacts are found; $1500 has been budgeted <br />for the project. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Resolution Entering Intop Cooperative <br />With Mn/DOT For Construction Of The <br />And T.H. No. 10: <br /> <br />Agreement No. 65642 <br />Intersection Of 153rd <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka recommended that City Council approve entering into a cooperative <br />agreement with Mn/DOT for the construction of the median crossing at the intersection of <br />153rd and Hwy. #10. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution #89-04-71 approving and entering into Agreement No. 65642 with the State of <br />Minnesota, Department of Transportation to obtain payment of the State's share of the costs <br />of the turn lane and median crossover construction at T.H. No. 10 and 153rd Avenue <br />N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Cich, DeLuca <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the City has obtained appraisals in the amount of $22,000/acre <br />and initiated condemnation action for property necessary for the extension of 153rd; <br />requesting Council approval to make the appropriate offers and deposit the funds in District <br />Court in order that the City can take possession of the properties as soon as there is <br />acceptance by the property owners or an award by the commissioner or jury <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize the <br />City Attorney to make the appropriate offers for parcels 1, 2, 3 and B relating to the <br />Dayton/Port Burlington Northern crossing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmember DeLuca, Pearson, Cich and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Authorize Advertising For Bids For Landscape And Grounds <br />Maintenance Services: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley recalled that in 1988 the City advertised and received bids for maintaining all <br />City parks; the bids were rejected because of high cost and the perception that the specs <br />were too complicated.
