Case #10: Receive Bids for 1989 Pavement Crack Filling Service Project #89-2: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that Bergman Companies, Inc. submitted the low bid. They did the <br />crack filling last year and it was successful. He is recommending award of the contract to <br />Bergman Companies, Inc. for the base bid and three alternates in the amount of $7,760.00. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt Resolution <br />//89-05-96 accepting bids for 1989 pavement crack filling and awarding a contract for such <br />improvement to Bergman Companies, Inc. in the amount of $7,760.00. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Peterson, Cich and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #11: Receive Bids for Elevated Storage Tank Controls - Improvement <br /> Project #87-19: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that the low bid was from Bentec Engineering Corporation. Part of <br />the bid included Staff training to learn how to operate the controls. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt Resolution <br />//89-05-97 accepting the bids for the elevated storage tank controls and awarding a contract for <br />such improvement to Bentec Engineering Corporation in the amount of $14,750.00. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Pearson, Peterson, Cich and <br />DeLuca. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case ~12: 153rd Avenue N.W. Right-Of-Way Project - Improvement Project <br /> #89-4: <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that he had received a letter from the EQB with a petition for an <br />EAW. He recommends adopting the proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt Resolution//89- <br />05~98 stating the need and ordering an EAW for the 153rd Avenue N.W. thoroughfare between <br />CSAH No. 5 and Ramsey Blvd. N.W. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Cich, Pearson and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Council reviewed the alternates and chose three. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize the City <br />Attorney to retain an appraiser to review the economic impacts or the properties affected by the <br />project. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Peterson, Cich and <br />Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #13: Approve Contract With Anoka Coljnty Humane Society for Animal <br /> Control Services: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann asked if there is anyone else that performs this service. <br /> <br />Chief of Police Auspos stated that they are the only animal control service in Anoka County. <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca asked if we've had any problems with them in the past. <br /> <br />Regular City Council/May 9, 1989 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
