Application From Rum River Liquors, Inc. For An Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor <br />License. <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular meeting back to order at 8:00 p.m. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to approve <br />the following items contained in the Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1. License applications <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Reimann requested that City Staff verify that Springer <br />Builders is not a situation of a business operating in a R-1 Rural Residential <br />District. <br /> <br />Resolution 89-08-182 approving first half bills for August, 1989 in the amount of <br />$284,881.84. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Application for exemption from charitable gambling license from the Minnesota <br />Deer Hunters Association for August 11-13, 1989 at the Game Fair, 8404 161st <br />Avenue N.W. and waive the 30 day comment period. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca noted that the copy of the charitable <br />gambling license application provided in the agenda is poor quality and illegible; <br />quality of prints should be checked during agenda preparation. <br /> <br />Resolution #89-08-183 approving write-off of fh'e bills that exceed the Statute of <br />Limitations in collection period. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember DeLuca noted that the information provided <br />indicates that fires are occurring more than once at some addresses; situations like <br />this should be looked into. Councilmember Pearson inquired as to why payment of <br />the fire bills was not pursued. Finance Officer Ashley assumed that at the time <br />staffing was not at a level where pursuing delinquent fire bills could be addressed. <br /> <br />Resolution #89-08-184 receiving report and calling a heating on August 29 <br />regarding Sewer, Water, Street and Storm Sewer Improvement Project #89-13 <br />(Rivlyn Avenue). <br /> <br />Resolution #89-08-185 receiving report and calling a hearing on August 15 <br />regarding Street Improvement Project #89-16 (Hematite Street N.W.). <br /> <br />Resolution #89-08-186 receiving report and calling a heating on August 29 <br />regarding Street Improvement Project #89-17 (Bison Stree0. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Resolution #89-08-187 receiving report and calling a hearing on August 29 <br />regarding Sewer, Water, Street and Storm Sewer Improvement Project #89-14 <br />(Juniper Woods). <br /> <br />City Council/August 8, 1989 <br /> Page 4 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
