JUL. ll.2~02 9:54AM CITY OF RMOKA COMMUHITY DEV M0.768 P.8 <br /> <br />In April, the Downtown Flood P!~kn Committee reviewed the site plan and <br />tentatively recommended that the project be named River.cPoint¢. <br /> <br />In May, thc City Council approved the preliminary plat, PUD zoning, <br />preliminary development plan and conditional use permit for the RiversPointe <br />project that included plans for 55 townhomes adjacent to a linear park/u'ail, <br />boat launch, and drainage pond. Rottlund Homes was given fight-of-entry to <br />test soils and identify location of utilities, Also, the Lower Rum River Water <br />Management Organ/mt/on approved the drainage system for the project. <br /> <br />Also in'May, the City purchased I719 2n~l Avenue and 1725 2nd Avenue as <br />additions to the redevelopment area. <br /> <br />In June, the City purchased 1733 2nd Avenue as an addition to the <br />redevelo .pment area. <br /> <br />Also-in June, the Suburban. Hennepin Regional Park District Board of <br />Commissioners approved a motion to approve release of flowage easements <br />reladng to the development site.. <br /> <br />In July, the City purchased 1515 2 Avenue for puiposes of using a portion of <br />the property for the public boat launch. The lot will be mbdivided and house <br />resold in 2001 or 2002. <br /> <br />In August, the City purchased 1705 2nd Avenue as an addition to the <br />redevelopmem area. <br /> <br />In September, the City purchased 1628 2~ Avenue, 1526 <br />1728 2ra Avenue as additions to the redevelopment area. <br /> <br />2nd Avenue, and <br /> <br />=' In October, the City demolished six homes including on 2"a Avenue (1730, <br /> 1733, 1725, 1713, 1728, 1526). Three homes were moved including 1719 2nd <br /> ,.
