Absent: Commissioners Shumway and <br />Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Request For Preliminary Plat Apvroval~ Case Of Ms. Ann Canis And <br /> Mr. Tom Skiba: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris recommended tabling this case until all the engineering information <br />has been received. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Howell and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to table Ms. <br />Canis' and Mr. Skiba's request for preliminary plat approval until the next <br />scheduled Planning and Zoning meeting or until required engineering information <br />is available. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Request For Conditional Use Permit To Operate Manufacturin~ <br /> Business In A Business District; Case Of Parabody. Inc.: <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Duncan of Parabody, Inc. was present requesting a conditional use <br />permit to operate a manufacturing business in the B-1 Business District at 6043 <br />Highway #10 NW (old Kovar building). Parabody manufactures exercise equipment. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer informed Mr. Duncan that there is a drainage problem on the <br />property; cautioned against diverting that water to another property. <br /> <br />Lyle McLaughlin was present and stated Parabody would be leasing the building <br />from him; the dry wells on the property will be cleaned out, crushed rock will <br />be added to the parking lot edge and the building appearance will be improved <br />with foam insulation and stucco spray. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner LaDue to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0144 relating to a request by Mr. Steve Duncan of Parabody, <br />Inc. for a conditional use permit to operate a manufacturing business in the <br />B-1 Business District. (Please refer to findings of fact file for Findings of <br />Fact 0144). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Shumway <br />and Hendriksen. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Zimmerman to <br />recommend approval of the request by Mr. Steve Duncan of Parabody, Inc. for a <br />conditional use permit to operate a manufacturing business in the B-I Business <br />District at 6043 Highway #10 NW along with any conditions that City Staff might <br />determine to be appropriate. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Zimmerman, <br />Deemer, LaDue and Howell. Voting No: None.
