Ramsey residents are fortunate to be within 20 miles of the center of this interest. <br />Residents are able to enjoy theater, music, and sports in lhe Twin Cities. The Tyrone Guthrie <br />Theater offers internationally famous repertoire theater productions. In addition, the Walker <br />Art Center, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, the University Gallery, and the Minnesota Museum of <br />Art, display paintings, sculptures, and other exhibits. These fine institutes are all within a 30 <br />minute drive of Ramsey. Orchestra Hall, a beautiful place both architecturally and <br />acoustically, is a quiescent place to hear the world famous Minnesota Orchestra. Other places to <br />hear fine music are the Ordway and Northrup Auditoriums, both within a 30-35 minute drive. <br /> <br />Sporting facilities include the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, located in downtown <br />Minneapolis, which is the home of two professional teams, the National Football League <br />Minnesota Vikings and the Major league Minnesota Twins; the new stadium which is 1he home <br />for the National Basketball Association Minnesota Timberwolves, is also located in downtown <br />Minneapolis. Big Ten Conference member, University of Minnesota sporting events can be seen <br />at Williams Arena and the Metrodome. The Metropolitan Sports Arena which hosts the National <br />Hockey League North Stars is located in Bloomington. The National Sports Center in Blaine <br />housed the 1990 Olympic Festival. A wide variety of other sporting events can be viewed at the <br />many area campuses. <br /> <br />CHURCHES <br /> <br />Ramsey area churches include: Lord of Life Lutheran, Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, <br />Cross of Hope Lutheran, Grace Community Bible, Faith Baptist, and Trott Brook Gospel Hall. <br />There are other denomination churches located in the neighboring communities. <br /> <br /> <br />
