Page 2
Hunters Hill Petition
144th Lane N.W. Cul-de-sac

and 2" bituminous mat WITHOUT curb or shoulder. The Typical
Urban Street is 24' with 4" class 5 gravel base, 1~" bituminous
base and 1%" bituminous wear including a bituminous curb.

The Rural Bituminous Street is not designed for the increase
traffic and would put an undue burden on the Hunters Hill
Property Owners that have paid for the street.

TRAFFIC HAZARDS

The intersection of 144th Ave. N.W. and Sunfish Lake Blvd. is
in part a blind intersection. As Sunfish Lake Blvd. continues
north past 144th Ave. N.W. it goes downhill. Traffic on
Sunfish Lake Blvd. is traveling at 55 mph(posted speed limit).
Attempting a lefthand turn from 144th or 143rd Lane onto
Sunfish Lake Blvd. you can NOT always see an approaching
vehicle coming from the north on Sunfish Lake Blvd. the
crest of the hill is approximately 150' from 144th Lane N.W.
This is a hazard in itself;with additional traffic it is an
increased hazard.

Traffic will increase in September, 1989, as the Landfill
Expansion proceeds. With additional traffic feeding onto
Sunfish Lake Blvd from the Hunters Hill area the hazard will
continue to increase.

k traffic increase into the Hunters Hill area is not promoting
the health, safety, comfort and convenience of the residents.
The posted speed limit for our streets is 30 mph but it is
not a desirable speed considering the road curves and the
angle at which 144th Lane N.W. intersects with 144th Avenue N.W..

CONGESTION AND NUISANCE

Increased traffic flo~ thru Hunters Hill will cause congestion
during peak travel times. This would make it more difficult
to enter onto Sunfish Lake Blvd., backing out of ones own
driveway; excessive glare from headlights during evening hours,
traffic noise, fumes and odors~.would be added nuisances that
would not be conducive to our health, safety and comfort.

SAFETY

Increased traffic flow thru Hunters Hill would NOT promote the
safety of our families and children. We do NOT have sidewalks
to use when walking from home to home. The children must walk
along the side of the road when going to a friends home. The
width of the street is NOT ideal for two way traffic flow. It
is less than ideal in fact totaly unacceptable to handle two
