Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Van Scoy, Brauer, <br />Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None., <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy to recommend that <br />City Council approve Academic Investment's conditional use permit based on the findings of <br />fact, and adopt a resolution declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Johnson, Van Scoy, Brauer, <br />Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon thanked the Commission for all the time <br />they put in on this and the special meetings they attended. <br /> <br />Case #7 <br /> <br />Information Item: Proposed Ordinance Amending Section 2.03, Boards and <br />Commissions <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy asked for clarification that the new language meant three or more <br />absences from regular meetings, not special meetings. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated that was correct. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy verified the regular meetings are once per month. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon again confirmed that was correct. He <br />stated the new guidelines indicated you cannot miss more than three meetings in six months. He <br />indicated the City Council was trying to clari~ some of the vagueness. <br /> <br />Commissioner Van Scoy stated obviously there was some concern at a high level for them to take <br />this step. <br /> <br />Commissioner Watson asked if this went back to the issue of not having a quorum at a special <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated he is not sure what instigated <br />the change. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt stated as an agenda item it has been noted, although he believes they are going <br />about this the wrong way. <br /> <br />Case #8 <br /> <br />Zoning Bulletin <br /> <br />The Zoning Bulletin was noted. <br /> <br />OTHER COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Planning Commission/October 2, 2003 <br /> Page 16 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
