Case 4/14: Consider Acquisition Of Tax Forfeit Lands: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart stated that Anoka County has selected several parcels in Ramsey for public <br />auction as tax forfei~ parcels. Mr. Banwart stated that one of the parcels will be needed for <br />the proposed Ramsey/Dayton Mississippi River Bridge Crossing road network and <br />recommended that the City request that it be withheld from public auction. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #89-11-308 requesting that the Anoka County Board of Commissioners <br />withhold from sale PIN 28-32-25-31-0002 for public purpose as a road. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #15: Introduction Of Ordinance Amending City Building Code: <br /> <br />Mr. Banwart requested that City Council introduce an ordinance to amend the building code <br />to establish the rate for plan checks at 05% of the building permit fee as per the State <br />building code and that the fees and charges wilt be reviewed on an annual basis with other <br />City rates and charges. Mr. Banwart noted that the 65% plan check fee is mandatory and <br />the City currently charges 65% on commercial plan checks and 45% on residential plan <br />checks. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cich and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to introduce an <br />ordinance to amend the City Building Code to establish rates for plan check rev/ews. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pearson, Cich <br />and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #16: Adopt Resolution Regarding Ferry Street Bridge Weight <br /> Restrictions: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the Road and Bridge Committee is recommending adoption of a <br />resolution requesting that Mn/DOT, upon determination that it is safe, relax the weight <br />restrictions for the Ferry Street Bridge. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cich to adopt <br />Resolution #89-11-309 requesting that Mn/DOT reassess the weight restrictions on the <br />Ferry Street Bridge. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Pearson inquired if Ramsey is exposing itself to <br />liability if the weight restrictions are relaxed and there is an accident. Mr. Goodrich replied <br />that the City would not be liable because Mn/DOT's engineer is being asked to make the <br />determination as to whether or not load limits can be relaxed. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
