Mr. Otto explained that some of other communities participating in the Mississippi Trail
Corridor are not proceeding with 75 wood widths. Ramsey's Park and Recreation Commission
has recommended proceeding with the maximum width to create more than a sidewalk
experience and provide ample space to buffer the trail from other uses.

Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Peterson directing City Staff
to prepare appropriate ordinance amendments and comprehensive plan amendments to insure
the development of the Mississippi River Trail Corridor with appropriate alignments and width
standards per City Council's discussion of January 10, 1989.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers DeLuca, Pelerson, Pearson and
Cich. Voting No: None.

Case #4:

Request To Rezone Lots 2 And 3, Block 1, Bulow's Addition From B- '
1 Business to R-1U Residential; Case Of Mr, Arthur Bulow: ;

Mr. Banwart recommended approval of rezoning certain lots in Bulow's Addition based on the
fact that the plat itself is finalized since EQB and Metro Council's acceptance of Ramsey's
proposed layout and design for the Mississippi Trail Corridor.

Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt Findings of
Fact #0241 relating to Mr. Arthur Bulow's request for rezoning.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Peterson, Pearson, Cich and
DeLuca. Voting No: None.

Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to approve Mr.
Arthur Bulow's request for rezoning.

Further Discussion: Councilmember Peterson inquired if the approval should be contingent
upon written verifcation from EQB regarding the acceptance of the Mississippi Trail Corridor
design. Mr. Banwad recommended proceeding on EQB's verbal acceptance. Mr. Goodrich noted
that the rezoning ordinance cannot be published until the plat is recorded.

Motion carried.
