Council Action: <br />Motion to: <br />Authorize the City Engineer to submit the proposed addition <br />of the frontage road to the District State Aid Engineer for <br />preliminary approval. <br /> <br />~ITEM ~2:1989 MSAS Projects <br /> <br /> As of December 31, 1988, the City's unexpended MSA Account <br />balance was $596,022.32. Of this amount, approximately $566,000 <br />will be req~/ired to final out projects in progress leaving <br />$30,000 for 1989 projects. The City has received an allotment of <br />$487,618 for 1989 of which $467,173 can be used for construction~ <br />In addition, the City could pre-encumber 40% of the 1990 <br />allotment for use which would provide a total construction fund <br />of approximately $684,042 for 1989. <br /> <br /> In reviewing the 5 year state aid construction program, the <br />City has ordered the !53rd Avenue N.W. railroad crossing and <br />extension to T.H. No. 10 which is estimated to cost $380,000. <br />Right of way acquisition on 153rd Ave. between Nowthen Blvd. and <br />Ramsey Blvd. is also scheduled for 1989. In addition, seal <br />coating of 153rd Ave. between S.T.H. No. 47 and Nowthen Blvd. <br />should be considered. <br /> <br /> Attached are copies of the status of the State Aid Account <br />as of 12/31/88, the City's 1989 allotment and the current 5-year <br />construction program for your review. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br /> The Road and Bridge Committee recommends that the City <br />proceed with preparation of a R.O.W. plan and acquisition of <br />easements for !53rd Ave. between Nowthen Blvd. and Ramsey Blvd. <br />They also reco~unend that sealcoating of 153rd Ave. between <br />Nowthen Blvd. and T.H.
