J. Fish and Wildlife

II.

Wetland areas will be preserved. However, adjacent upland
areas will be reduced for nesting areas which will result in
a reduction in the local populations of many species of
wildlife. To minimize the loss of nesting areas, the
developer will provide a natural undisturbed buffer between
the wetland and the proposed development. (Comments to EAW
and EAW)

Archeological and Historical Resources

The proposed project has a relatively high probability of
containing prehistoric archeological sites. Therefore, an
archeological survey will be completed. (EAW and response
from the Minnesota Historical Society).

Parks and Special Resource Areas

Construction of this project will not create any adverse
impacts on parks or special resource area. As part of the
project, a new park will be created in conjunction with the
developments of Chestnut Hills and Cedar Hills. (EAW)

Roads and Traffic

The proposed development is estimated to generate
approximately a total of 400 to 500 ADT. Ten percent of the
trips are estimated to be to the west and 90% are estimated
to be to the east along County Road No. 116. The traffic
estimated to go west will utilize streets in the proposed plat
of Cedar Hills and outlet to Sunfish Lake Bouelvard by a
proposed street south of Hunter's Hill development. Mn/DOT
states that the impact on ToH.'s 10 and 47 would be only
moderate. (EAW and comments from Mn/DOT)

Utilities

A new sewer line will be required to se~ve this and other
proposed developments in the area. Ade.~uate energy resources
are available to construct and serve the project. Natural gas
to the project will be provided by North Central Public
Service and electricity to the project will be provided by
Anoka Electric Cooperative. (EAW)

CDqCJLATIVE POTENTIAL EFFECTS OF RELATED OR ANTiCiPATED FUTURE
PROJECTS

The pu_~pose of tkis prsject is to allow for controlled ~rowth
in the southeastern corner of the City cf Ramsey. With the
construction cf a municipal sewer and water system for tkis
project, a~ditiona! deve!opmen~ can occur in the area. Future
deve!cpment would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive
Plan an~ regional plans for the area. (Ramsey Comprehensive
