CASE # 18 <br /> <br />REPORT FROM PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />By: Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee met on April 19, 1989 at which time they interviewed applicants for <br />the position of Accounting Technician. Following those interviews, it was the recommendation of <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley that an offer be extended to Ms. Gayie Rogers for the position of <br />Accounting Technician at a starting rate of $8.00 per hour. <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee also considered the vacancy of the City Assessor and recommends to the <br />City Council thal the position be offered to Mr. John Keefe at a starting rate of $24,000 per <br />year. Mr. Keefe was considered as one of the finalists in a recent interview process in an effort <br />to fill the vacancy of City Assessor. <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee also instructed Staff to post a vacancy for a part-time Assistant to the <br />Building Official which may be filled by a current City employee with suitable qualifications. <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee discussed the vacancy of Public Works Maintenance Worker and <br />expressed a concern over filling the position promptly.
