Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ENDING THE PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR <br /> CHIEF OF POLICE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Jim Way was promoted to Chief of Police effective November 13, <br />2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Way has successfully completed his one-year probationary <br />period as Chief of Police; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee, at its November 25, 2003 meeting agreed <br />with staff's recommendation to end the probationary period for Jim Way, effective <br />November 13, 2003. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to end the probationary period for Jim Way, effective <br />November 13, 2003. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 25th day of November, 2003. <br /> <br />O:\Administration\l-lumanResources\l 1-25-03 PC Meeting Items\Way, Jim 11-25-03.doc <br /> <br /> <br />
