BOATING RULES Lower St.· Croix National Scenic Riverwa The St. Croi× River is a special area, and boaters using the river have special responsibilities. There are special water surface use regulations in effect on the St. Croix to improve safety conditions and to make the river experience more enjoyable for more people. Please obey all the rules. VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED~ Please read all the rules before venturing o~t onto the river. · .The regulations have been adopted by the Minnesota DNR, the ~isconsin DNR and the National Park Service. The regulations create seven "slow-no-.wake zones" where motorboat operation is restricted to "the slowest ~ossible s~eed pecessar~ to maintain steera~e."-~he-~e s~ow~ zones are in congested and hazardous areas, so please obey the speed limits and maintain special vigilance when traveling through them.
