Councilmcmber Pearson moved the :.3option of the following findings of fact: <br /> <br />FINDINGS OF FACT #0246 <br />MR. ARNOLD KLAR <br />16020 Potassium Street N.W. <br /> <br />Thai Mr. Arnold Klar, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied for a <br />conditional use permit ~o maintain ten pieces of equipment on his property relating to his <br />firewood sales business. <br /> <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a public <br />hearing on April 4, !989 pursuant to Section 170.013D of the Ramsey City Code and that <br />said public heating was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are <br />hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />That ~he subject property is generally kown as 16020 Potassium Street N.W. and is legally <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />Lot 9, Block 4, Hall Anderson Acres, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />4. That the subject property is located in the R-1 Rural Residential District and is <br /> \ <br /> approximately one acre in size. ~ <br /> <br />5. That the adjoining properties are zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey issued a conditional use permit to the Applicant in 1984 for the <br />purpose of conducting a f'u:ewood sales business from the subject property. <br /> <br />That the conditional use permit for the fn-ewood sales business issued in 1984 limits the <br />numar of trucks for delivery maintained on the property to 3. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to amend the existing conditional use permit to include <br />maintaining one additional delivery truck on the subject propen),. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />That the proposed increase in number of vehicles maintained on the property will increase <br />traffic to or from the subject property as the Applicant does hire an occasional weekend <br />employee. <br /> <br />11. That there are no provisions for indoor storage of the business vehicles and equipment. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />That the fn-ewood on the subject property is stacked in a 'U' fon'nation and the business <br />equipment and vehicles are stored in the interior of that 'U' formation. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />That the proposed increase in number of business vehicles will be unduly dangerous or <br />detr/mental to persons residing or working in the area. <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />That the proposed increase in number of business vehicles will not substantially impair the <br />use of surrounding properties. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />That the proposed increase in numt:w~r of business vehicles w-ill not be harmonious with the <br />spezifiz objectives of the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />I6. <br /> <br />That the business vehicles are proposed to be maintained so as to be appropriate in <br />appearance with the character of the general neighborhood. <br /> <br /> <br />
