Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adcption: RESOLUTION #89-06- RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT REMODELING WHEREAS, on May 23, 1989 the following bids were received for the Fire Department remodeling project: Mikkelson-Wulff Guimont Construction Tri-Co Construction Dailey Construction Spraungel Construction Nordling Construction $54,123.00 $58,848.20 $61,660.00 $64,799.00 $65,933.00 $70,549.00 AND WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Chief that the underground exhaust system and folding partition be and City Administrator and Fire eliminated from the contract; WHEREAS, the apparent Iow bidder is Mikkelson-Wulff with a bid of $54,123.00. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1 ) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts the aforelisted bids. 2 ) Further that the City Administrator is hereby authorized to award the contract for Fire Department remodeling to Mikkelson-Wulff in an original amount of $54,123.00 and is further authorized to delete the underground exhaust system and the folding partition. 3) Further that the City Administrator is authorized to either accept a competitive change order for an overhead exhaust system and metal stud/gypsum board wall or to seek subcontractor's bids for these improvements. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of June, 1989.
