Whereas, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROHIBITING HA~ENT IN THE WORKPLACE <br /> <br />the City of Ramsey strives to maintain a pos'.'tiVe work environment, free of <br />intimidation~ coercion, and abuse, and :: . '-' .... :~' - '~" ' <br /> <br />the City of Ramsey opposes harassment of any kind in the workplace and <br />abicles by federal and state laws which prohibit harassment. <br /> <br />Whereas, <br /> <br />sexual harassment of any employee, by any other employee will not be <br />tolerated. <br /> <br />THER~ORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Ramsey City Council, that any employee who <br />believes that he/she is being subject to harassment in any form, or who <br />believes to have witnessed harassment in any work related setting, is <br />encouraged to tell the offending individual to stop, and to contact the <br />Personnel Coordinator, City Administrator, Department Head or <br />the City Mayor immediately. Any employee official or City agent found, <br />through investigation, to have been the perpetrator of any form of <br />harassment, will be subje~ to disciplinary procedures, up to and including <br />discharge or termination. <br /> <br /> <br />
