Final - Adopted 7/25/89 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY ON THE APPLICATION OF <br />& R ENTERPRISES, A MINNESOTA PARTNERSHIP <br /> FOR AN OPEN BUR/~ING PERMIT <br /> <br />By application dated June 18, 1989, and supplemented by <br />application received by the City on June 27, 1989, F & R <br />Enterprises, a Minnesota partnership ("F & R"), Suite 679, <br />Butler Square, Minneapolis, Minnesota, applied for an open <br />burning permit in order to dispose of pine trees at its <br />property legally described as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />Northeast Quarter of Northwest Quarter (NE~ of <br />NW~) of Section 29, Township 32, Range 25, <br />except the right-of-way line of the Burlington <br />Northern Railway, Anoka County, Minnesota, <br />which is located northeast of the intersection <br />of Puma Street and U.S. Highway 10. <br /> <br />("the Site") . <br /> <br />A copy of F & R's June 27, 1989 Application is attached <br />hereto. <br /> <br />The application was made pursuant to City Ordinance 83-7 and <br />Minn. Rules, parts 7005.0700-.0820 and F & R has stated that <br />all burning would be done in accordance with Minn. Rules, part <br />7005.0750, Subd. 2. <br /> <br />At its regularly scheduled meeting on June 27, 1989, the City <br />Council considered F & R's application. At said meeting F & <br />R's representative was given the opportunity to present <br />evidence and testimony. <br /> <br />That F & R owns in total approximately 97 acres which property <br />lies generally north of U.S. Highway 10, west of Puma Street, <br />south of 153rd Avenue N.W. and east of County Road 83. <br /> <br />That a pine tree plantation has been planted on F & R's <br />property containing thousands of pine trees. <br /> <br />That F & R testified that in April, 1988, a passing train on <br />the Burlington Northern tracks ignited a fire which fire <br />burned through several acres of F & R's property and destroyed <br />thousands of trees. <br /> <br /> <br />
