Mr. Jon Olsen, Project Engineer
Page 2
November 14, 1989

When access is closed during construction, the County's contractor
will be responsible for placement, maintenance and removal of
lighted barricades at the park access road. These barricades
should be placed at the east end of the paved parking lot in
River's Bend Park (north of Oxbow).

A question concerning the use of the park access road for
construction activity was raised at the preconstruction conference.
The City would raise no objection to limited use as long as the
County accepts full responsibility to restore all surfaces to
existing or better conditions and that activities are scheduled so
as not to interfere with park users or nearby residents. Paved
surfaces of the parking lot and road are 2" of bituminous over 6"
of Class V. The unpaved segment of the road is generally 6" of
Class V over geotextile on less desirable soil.

Nothing in this letter shall be construed to otherwise permit
construction activity, construction storage or related activity on
park lands.

We wish to again express our support and early success on the
project.

Sincerely,

CITY OF RAMSEY

Gary Reimann, Mayor

cc: Natalie Haas Steffen, Anoka Co. Comm.
