Shirley Ooerisch - 16z~4 St. Francis Blvd. N,W, - lnqui~,.zl if M1 the additions will bt built <br />by the same builder. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman - Replied that the City doesn't know who will be building the <br />homes; thc City regulates ',.he dMsion of land into lots. <br /> <br />Shirley Ooeriseh - Stated that the building could slap up some homes and then get out of <br />town. <br /> <br />Mark Banwart stated that the Git>' has a building inspection department that follows the <br />State building code to the lener. <br /> <br />Shirley Ooerisch - Inquired as to the dollar value of the homes proposed to be built. <br /> <br />Mark Banwar't replied that the homes would have to meet the minimum squm-e footage <br />established in Ci,w Code; the home designs are individual choices. Per City Code, the <br />minimum square {ootage for a home is approximately 900 square feet. Ramsey is under <br />the dictate of Metro Council and if the City were to up,adc those standards, it would be <br />considered discrimination against affordable housing. <br /> <br />Bev Semanko - Inquired as to when a decision will be made regarding Trott Brook Ponds. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman replied that the Planning and Zoning Corn_mission will be matting a <br />reco,,'~mendation to Ci~, Counz'2. <br /> <br />Mark Banwart stated that the plat is scheduled to go to City Council on December t9, <br />1989. <br /> <br />Wayne.Davis - Inquired ff this property will be subject to the 4 in 40 density zoning if it is . <br />not approved by January 1. <br /> <br />Mark Banwart replied that if the plat is not approved by January 1, it will be subject to 4 in <br />40 density zoning. Mr. Banwart noted that it is also possible that Metro Council could <br />revert the 4 in 40 zoning policy. <br /> <br />Chairman Zimmerman stated that the landowner has rights to develop his land the same as <br />the person who developed the land existing residents are living on did; the developer is not <br />applying for anything illegal; a PUD is provided for in the City Code. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer referred to comments indicating that the City is rushing this plat <br />through and noted that the plat is being dealt v, dth in the normal time frame. Commissioner <br />Deemer also noted that the 4 in 40 density policy has been dictated to the City by Metro <br />Council in return for the extension of sewer and water services to the City. <br /> <br />Dennis Strange - 8750 167t.h Line - Stated that he is. opposed to planing an.,,, lots in Ramsey <br />at less than 2.5 acres. <br /> <br />Bob Prunty - Stated that he knows the City needs development to keep the City going but it <br />should be accomplished with 2.5 acre lots versus 1.1 acre lots. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission Public Hearin~JDecember 5, 1989 <br /> Page 4 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
