Duty to Maintain an Inventory <br /> <br />Selected text was: "Keep an index of all open areas, publicly or privately owned, including open <br />marshlands, swamps and other wetlands, in order to obtain information on the proper use of such <br />areas and make recommendations to the Planning Board and the governing body concerning the <br />same." <br /> <br />33. Duty to Carry Out Management Activities <br /> <br />Selected text was: "The Environmental Specialist shall perform whatever acts are necessary, <br />including the planting and maintenance of trees and the removal of undesirable trees, shrubs, and <br />other plants located on city-owned property, to ensure that all trees, shrubs, and other plants <br />located on city-owned property conform with the Urban Forestry Plan, the Forestry Policies and <br />Specifications, and this ordinance." <br /> <br />34. Duty to Clean Up Storm Damaged Trees <br /> <br />Selected text was: "It will be the policy of the Community Development to remove fallen <br />branches and limbs located in the City right-of-ways to open the right-of-way area for safe travel <br />of vehicles and pedestrians. Right-of-way areas maintained in woods or brush will only be <br />cleared to the edge of the woods/brush, including guard rails, etc. It is the property owner's <br />responsibility to clear, remove and dispose of any storm damage on his property or the adjacent <br />right-of-way. The City Manager and Council may include the pick-up of all storm-damaged tree <br />limbs or other changes if they feel the severity of the storm, etc., is beyond the clean-up <br />capability of Ramsey residents." <br /> <br />35. Duty to Inspect for an Control Insect and Disease Problems <br /> <br />Selected text was: "The removal of trees deemed by the Environmental Specialist to be diseased, <br />dying, or dead. The Environmental Specialist may inspect any trees, shrubs, vines, hedges, <br />plants, logs, or branches existing or growing upon any property within the city. The <br />Environmental Specialist shall conduct surveys to determine if any destructive or communicable <br />disease, or other pestilence exists which may be detrimental to or endanger the good health and <br />well being of trees or other plant life in the city." <br /> <br />36. Duty to Manage Risk and Control Nuisances <br /> <br />Selected text was: "Removal of dead or living trees or limbs that are determined by the <br />Environmental Specialist to be a hazard to public safety and property; removal of trees or limbs <br />that have actually fallen across street, sidewalk, or other city property." <br /> <br />37.
