8 FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT. <br />8.1 PACT will utilize the UFARS financial accounting principles and methods. Student <br />accounting will comply with MARSS requirements. All accounting records will be <br />audited annually by a public accounting firm engaged by the PACT CHARTIiR <br />SCHOOL Board of Directors. <br />8.2 PACT will comply with the same financial audits, audit procedures, and audit <br />requirements of public school districts (Minnesota Statutes sections 123B.75 to <br />12313.83) except when deviations are necessary because of PACT's program. <br />8.3 PACT shall provide 13ETIIP1, [UNIVERSITY with a final copy of the annual audit <br />within fifteen (15) days of its completion and acceptance by the PACT Board. <br />9 TRANSPORTATION. <br />9.1 Transportation for pupils enrolled at PACT may he provided by PACT CHARTER <br />SCHOOL. If PACT elects to provide transportation, it shall be provided as follows: <br />9.1.1 PACT shall notify the MINNESOTA INDEPENIENT SCHOOL DISTRICT in <br />which PACT facilities are located and the Department of Education by July 1 <br />prior to the upcoming school year its commitment and plan regarding provision <br />of transportation for pupils enrolled at PACT. <br />9.1.2 PACT shall provide manageable transportation for PACT students within the <br />school district where PACT resides. Other reasonable efforts may be made to <br />accommodate transportation needs where significant portions of the PACT <br />student population live, according to PACT'S policies and procedures. <br />9.1.3 The Department of Education shall pay transportation aid to PACT according to <br />Minnesota Statutes section 124D.11, subdivision 2. <br />9.1.4 PACT may reimburse a parent for costs of transportation from the pupil's <br />residence to the border of the MINNESOTA INDEPENDENT SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT in which PAC"I' facilities are located if the pupil is from a family <br />whose income is at or below the poverty level as determined by the federal <br />government. The reimbursement may not exceed the pupil's actual cost of <br />transportation or the current allowed cost per mile traveled, whichever is less. <br />Reimbursement may not be paid for more than current limit on toile per week <br />travel. <br />9.2 If PACT does not elect to provide transportation for pupils enrolled at PACT, <br />transportation shall be provided by the School District in which PACT facilities are <br />located according to Minnesota Statutes section 124DA3, subdivision 8, and section <br />123B.88, subdivision 6, for a pupil residing in the same district in which PACT <br />facilities are located. Transportation provided by the School District in which PACT <br />facilities are located to and from the School shall be provided as follows: <br />9.2.1 All transportation routes, pick-up points and times, student bus assignments, <br />method of transportation, and other transportation scheduling shall be established <br />by that School District. <br />9.2.2 PACT may ell ter into a separate Contract with a school district to receive <br />additional transportation services for extracurricular events, field trips, and other <br />aclt vi ties. <br />PACT Charter School/Bethel University Contract July 2009 <br />Page 5 of 9 <br />D-7 <br />D-10 <br />
