STRATEGIC PLANNING WORKSHOP <br />By: David R. Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As discussed by the City Council at an earlier Council meeting, the Strategic Planning Workshop <br />for 1990 has been scheduled for March 7, 1990 at the Anoka-Hennepin School District Staff <br />Development Center. I have talked with Dennis Carlson, Community Education Director, about <br />the possibility of him facilitating our meeting and he has agreed to do so. <br /> <br />At this time I would like to review some details with the City Council in preparation for this <br />Strategic Planning Workshop. <br /> <br />(1) Starting Time: <br /> <br />At your last meeting you discussed the starting time of 7:00. I again would like to <br />encourage an earlier start time so that we might accomplish more with our evening <br />together. <br /> <br />(2) Participants: <br /> <br />Currently the participants are planned to be Department Heads, City Council <br />members, and one representative from the Planning and Zoning Commission, Park <br />and Recreation Commission, and the Economic Development Commission. <br /> <br />I do not foresee a need to add additional names to this, but I do want to confirm that <br />observation with the City Council, recognizing that this type of workshop should <br />facilitate a free exchange of ideas and creative solutions. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Discussion and dLrection. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />C/ty Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br />Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />.× <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Park & Recreation Con'n-nission <br /> <br />/03 <br /> <br /> <br />
