CASE # 8 <br /> BIDS FOR COUNCIL CHAMBERS TABLE <br /> By: David R. Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On February 13, 1990 the City received two (2) bids for constructing a table for the Council <br />Chambers in accordance with prepared drawings and specifications. Those bids were: <br /> <br /> BIDDER AMOUNT <br /> <br /> D & E Cabinets & Millwork, Inc. $5,983.00 ($200.00 deduction to use <br /> red oak instead of white oak) <br /> <br /> Woodhill Industries, Inc. $6,950,00 ($65.00 additional to use <br /> red oak instead of white oak) <br /> <br />These bids fall substantially below the bids received previously. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is staffs recommendation that a contract for constructing the Council Chambers table be awarded <br />to the Iow bidder of D & E Cabinets and Millwork, Inc. and that the deduction of $200.00 for red <br /> <br />oak instead of white oak be accepted. <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #90-02- <br />Table. <br /> <br />Awarding Contract for Construction of Council Chambers <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Adminisn'ator <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br />Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Park & Recreation Commission <br /> <br /> <br />
