Councilmember <br />moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #90-03- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DIRECTING T~E CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE A FEASIBILITY <br />STUDY TO CORRECT DRAINAGE PROBLEMS ON LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 4, <br />MENK~qELD'S COUNTRY PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has recently received phone calls and a <br />letter requesting action to correct the existing drainage problem <br />on Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, Menkveld's Country Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has previously been made aware of the <br />drainage problem and made an attempt to correct the problem; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has established the Rum River Storm Sewer <br />Taxing District to finance drainage improvements; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the city Attorney has reviewed the situation and <br />determined the City has the responsibility of containing its water <br />so it doesn't encroach on private property; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to initiate a drainage project using Taxing <br />District financing, a feasibility must be prepared and a public <br />hearing has to be held. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Pete Raatikka, City Engineer, is instructed to prepare a <br />feasibility study for the City Council with all convenient <br />speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether <br />the proposed improvement is feasible and as to the cost of the <br />project. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />The above mentioned project shall hereby be referred to as <br />Improvement Project ~90-15. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by <br />the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of March, 1990. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
