Councilmember moved for its adoption: introduced the following resolution and RESOLUTION #90-03- RESOLUTION DIRECTING T~E CITY ENGINEER TO PREPARE A FEASIBILITY STUDY TO CORRECT DRAINAGE PROBLEMS ON LOTS 2 AND 3, BLOCK 4, MENK~qELD'S COUNTRY PARK WHEREAS, the City has recently received phone calls and a letter requesting action to correct the existing drainage problem on Lots 2 and 3, Block 4, Menkveld's Country Park; and WHEREAS, the City has previously been made aware of the drainage problem and made an attempt to correct the problem; and WHEREAS, the City has established the Rum River Storm Sewer Taxing District to finance drainage improvements; and WHEREAS, the city Attorney has reviewed the situation and determined the City has the responsibility of containing its water so it doesn't encroach on private property; and WHEREAS, in order to initiate a drainage project using Taxing District financing, a feasibility must be prepared and a public hearing has to be held. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) Pete Raatikka, City Engineer, is instructed to prepare a feasibility study for the City Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to the cost of the project. 2) The above mentioned project shall hereby be referred to as Improvement Project ~90-15. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of March, 1990.
