Engineering Aide 2 I SUPERVISION PROVIDED; Independent judgment as well as general discussion with the City Administrator to further define policies and procedures is used in decision making. In most circumstances related to the implementation of day-to-day department functions, the City Engineer makes final decisions and recommendations with a wide latitude for independent judgment and action. On matters of broader scope, variations from policy (formal or informal), and major cost, the approval of the City Administrator and/or the City Council is obtained.
