Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #90-04- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF SMALL TOOLS FOR THE <br />RAMSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT AND ADOPTING 1990 BUDGET AMENDMENT <br />#4 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at their meeting of February 14, 1990 the Fire Board approved the purchase <br />of a chain saw, K-12 saw, portable generator, medical kit and smoke ejector fan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fire Chief Hoeke obtained prices for these items as follows: <br /> <br />Chain Saw <br />K- 12 Saw <br />Portable Generator <br />Medical Kit <br /> <br />Smoke Ejector Fan (16") <br /> <br />$ 500.00 (wholesale) <br />$ 537.00 (wholesale) <br />$ 370.00 (local) <br />$1,360.00 (Emergency Medical, <br /> Des Moines, Iowa) <br />$ 595.00 (quote from Minnesota Conway) <br />$ 583.00 (quote from Clarey's) <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, this operating expenditure was not included in the Fire Department's <br />1990 budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this amendment will reduce the available funds in sub-function #8920 - <br />Expenditure Reserve, to $26,650.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this budget amendment does not increase nor decrease the City's total 1990 <br />General Fund Budget. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorize purchase of the above tools for the Ramsey Fire <br />Department. <br /> <br />2) That purchase of the smoke ejector fan be awarded to the lowest bidder, Clarey's. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the Finance Officer of the City of Ramsey be instructed to enter a 1990 Budget <br />Amendment (#4) to the City's financial records. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />That such amendment increase the 1990 Fire Department Small Tools Expenditure budget <br />by $3,350.00 (account #101-42241-002220) and decrease the 1990 Expenditure Reserve <br />budget by the same amount. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council on <br />this the 24th day of April, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
