Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #90-04-. RESOLUTION CONFIRMING PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL AND PROMOTION FOR PENNY CURTIS WHEREAS, Penny Curtis began employment at the City of Ramsey on June 22, 1981 in the Building Department in a Clerical II position; and WHEREAS, since her employment at the City of Ramsey, Ms. Curtis has performed several other positions including Clerical III, Executive Secretary and her current position as Adn-finistrative Coordinator, with current annual salary at $21,983; and WHEREAS, the anniversary of position date for Ms. Curtis is March 1; and WHEREAS, a satisfactory performance appraisal was performed by Finance Officer Sandra Ashley, immediate supervisor of Ms. Curtis on March 20, 1990; and WHEREAS, City Administrator David Hartley has reviewed the performance appraisal and is in agreement; and WHEREAS, the recommendation for Ms. Curtis is an increase in her annual salary to $22,642 due to a 3% general increase, effective January 1, 1990; and WHEREAS, due to an increase in responsibilities Ms. Ashley and Mr. Hartley recommend a promotion from salary grade 2.5 to salary grade 3, effective March 1, 1990; and - WHEREAS, Ms. Ashley and Mr. Hartley also recommend an increase in Ms. Curtis' annual salary to $24,000 effective March 1, 1990; and WHEREAS, the Personnel Committee accepted the performance appraisal and recommendations as presented at the Personnel Committee meeting on April 11, 1990. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey conf'm'ns the recommendations of the Finance Officer Sandra Ashley and the City Administrator David Hartley to promote Penny Curtis from a salary grade 2.5 to salary grade 3 due to an increase in responsibilities, effective March 1, 1990. 2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey con£m-ns the recommendations of the Finance Officer Sandra Ashley and the City Administrator David Hartley for Penny Curtis, and instructs Kay McAloney, Personnel Coordinator, to prepare the necessary paperwork for change in salary to $22,642 annually effective January 1, 1990 and to $24,000 annually effective March 1, 1990. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24th day of April, 1990.
