Banners, pennants and whirling devices, or <br />any such sign resembling the same, are prohibited from use within the city <br />except when used as an integral part of the design of a building or when <br />used in conjunction with grand openings (the initial commencement of <br />business) or when allowed by the provisions of this ordinance. In the case <br />of grand openings, banners and pennants shall be allowed for the week <br />(maximum ten (10) days) of said grand opening. In other cases, a special <br />permit shall be issued for ten (10) day periods, but limited to three (3) times <br />a year per businesses. <br /> <br /> Sub& 2. Campaign signs posted by a bona fide candidate for <br />political office, or by a person or group promoting a political issue or a <br />political candidate may be placed in any district, subject to the requirement <br />that the maximum size in any district be thirty-two (32) square feet. One (1) temporary identification sign may be <br />installed upon a construction site in any district, provided such sign does <br />not exceed eighty (80) square feet in area. <br /> <br /> Subd. 4. Temporary real estate signs may be erected for the <br />purpose of selling or promoting a residential project of ten (10) or more <br />dwelling units or any non-residential project provided: <br /> <br /> a. Such signs shall not exceed one hundred (100) square feet <br /> in area; <br /> <br /> b. Only one (1) such sign shall be permitted per street <br /> frontage upon which the property abuts; <br /> <br /> c. Such signs shall be removed when the project is ninety- <br /> five percent (95%) completed, sold or leased; and <br /> <br /> d. Such signs shall be located no closer than one hundred <br /> (100) feet to any pre-existing residence. <br /> <br /> Sub(L 5.
