Sub& 2. Area Identification Signs: One (1) area <br />identification sign per development, providing such sign does not exceed <br />twenty-four (24) square feet in area, and further provided such sign is <br />placed no closer than ten (10) feet to any street right-of-way. <br /> <br /> Sub& 3. Institutional Signs: One (1) sign per street frontage <br />identifying an institutional complex within a multiple residential district <br />(convalescent, nursing, rest or boarding care homes or mobile home <br />complex). Such sign shall not exceed twenty-four (24) square feet in area <br />nor shall it be placed closer than ten (10) feet to any street right-of-way line. <br /> <br /> Sub& 4. Business Signs: Signs identifying uses accessory to <br />a multiple residential development shall not be visible from the public right- <br />of-way. <br /> <br />Sub& 5. Temporary Signs: Refer to Section 170.053P. <br /> <br /> Sub& 6. Minimum Setback: No part of a sign shall be <br />within five (5).feet of any-property line. <br /> <br /> Sub& 7. Private Traffic Directional Signs: Refer to Section <br />170.053K and 170.053M. <br /> <br />170.0555C ~ Business type districts <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Wall Signs and Roof Signs: The total area of all <br />wall signs affixed to a building wall and all roof signs parallel to a specified <br />wall shall not exceed fifteen percent (15%) of the total area of that wall. <br />However, the maximum size of any roof sign is eighty (80) square feet. The <br />use of a roof sign will substitute for a free standing business sign along the <br />frontage it faces. <br /> <br /> Sub& 2. Free Standing Signs: One (1) free standing sign <br />allowed for each building on each street frontage. The total area of a free <br />standing sign for a building having one (1) street frontage shall not exceed <br />eighty (80) square feet in Business Districts, nor shall it exceed one hundred <br />(100) square feet in Business Districts. Where a building has two (2) or <br />more street frontages, only one (1) free standing sign of the above size shall <br />be permitted. Each permitted free standing sign in excess of one (1) shall be <br />no greaterin area than one-half (1/2) the area of the first sign. The <br />maximum height of free standing signs shall be thirty-five(35) feet. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3.
