CALENDAR FOR 1991 BUDGET AND PROPERTY TAX LEVY Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />Our City's remaining budget calendar is: <br /> <br />Tuesday Aug 28 <br /> <br />At this regularly scheduled council meeting, the City's <br />proposed property tax levy must be certified to the <br />County Auditor and the proposed budget for taxes payable <br />in 1991 must be adopted by September 1, 1990. <br /> <br />September 3 to <br />September 28, 1990 <br /> <br />City of Ramsey's Special Revenue, Construction, Trust and <br />Enterprise Funds Budget Committee Workshop meetings. <br />Specific meeting dates to be established. <br /> <br />November 10, 1990 <br /> <br />Anoka County staff to prepare and mail notices of proposed <br />property taxes payable in 1991 to each individual parcel of <br />property. <br /> <br />November 15 to <br />December 20, 1990 <br />(sec below *); <br /> <br />Cities and counties must hold public hearings to adopt <br />their final budget and final property tax levy. Schools <br />hold hearings to adopt their final property tax levies. <br /> <br />November 28, 1990 <br /> <br />Anoka County initial budget hearing date <br /> <br />December 5, 1990 <br /> <br />Anoka County budget hearing reconvene date - if necessary <br /> <br />To be advised * <br /> <br />Anoka-Hennepin School District #11 <br />initial and reconvening budget hearing dates. <br /> <br />To be advised * <br /> <br />Elk River School District #728 <br />initial and reconvening budget hearing dates. <br /> <br />To be advised * <br /> <br />City of Ramsey's initial and reconvening budget public <br />hearing dates to adopt the final budget and property tax levy for <br />taxes payable in 1991. <br /> <br />December 28, 1990 <br /> <br />City of Ramsey's final property tax levy must be certified to the <br />county auditor and the final budget for taxes payable in 1991 <br />must be adopted. <br /> <br />* The City's hearings dates cannot conflict with the County or school district's dates. The <br />county selects first, the school districts select second and cities select last. We have been <br />notified of the dates selected by the county. By August 20, 1990 we are to be notified of the <br />dates selected by the school districts and on or before September 1, 1990 we must notify the <br />county auditor's office of the public hearing dates selected by Ramsey. <br /> <br />This calendar will be updated as additional information is available. <br /> <br /> <br />
