SECTION 06100 <br />CARPENTRY <br />PART 1- GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Section Includes: <br />1. All wood framing, blocking, backing, stripping, furring, grounds, and <br />plywood except as noted. <br />2. Rough hardware, bolts, hangers, clips, brackets, anchors, nails, <br />connectors, and fasteners not specified elsewhere. <br />3. Temporary enclosures. <br />4. Temporary centering, shoring and bracing. <br />5. Plywood backing and sheathing, building felt. <br />B. Related Sections: <br />1. Section 03100 - Concrete Formwork <br />2. Section 06400 - Architectural Woodwork <br />3. Section 09260 - Gypsum Drywall <br />1.2 DELIVERY AND STORAGE <br />A. All materials, insofar as practicable, shall be delivered to the site in the <br />manufacturer's original containers and bear the trademarks and names thereof. <br />Trademark stamped on all standard yard dimension lumber or certified for <br />compliance. Plywood grade stamped. Each piece of treated lumber stamped. <br />B. Lumber and plywood shall be carefully stacked to prevent warping and shall be <br />kept dry. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.1 LUMBER <br />A. Lumber shall conform to U.S. Product Standard PS20 and grade stamped by <br />an agency certified by the Board of Review of the American Lumber Standards <br />Committee. <br />B. Moisture content of dimension lumber 2" or less in thickness shall be 19% or less <br />at time of installation. Lumber dressed S4S, unless otherwise specified. <br />C. Grades and type as follows: <br />1. Blocking, nailers and miscellaneous framing lumbers: Standard Light <br />Framing Grade Douglas Fir Larch. <br />06100-1 <br />
