C. Fabricate lumber insofar as possible before treatment. Dry lumber to a moisture content <br />of not more than 19% after treatment. Treat field cuts in accordance with AWPA <br />Standard M4-84 with a heavy brush coat of the same chemical used for treatment. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.1 INSTALLATION <br />A. Install anchor bolts indicated on the Drawings or otherwise required to attach <br />wood plates and bucks to masonry and concrete. Bolts shall be of proper <br />diameter, threaded one end with a 1-1/2" right angle bend on the opposite end. <br />Bolts shall extend not less than 8" into concrete and horizontal masonry joints <br />and not less than 16" into vertical masonry joints. <br />B. Provide wood blocking, bucks, nailers and similar items. Install securely and <br />accurately to receive intended work. <br />C. Provide blocking as necessary for the installation of casework, millwork, mirrors, <br />grab bars and toilet accessories, fire extinguisher cabinets and similar work. <br />Blocking for grab bars shall support the loads specified in Section 10800, Toilet <br />Accessories. <br />D. Apply plywood in accordance with APA recommendations. <br />E. Wood framing shall be nailed in accordance with Table No. 11-Recommended <br />Nailing Schedule, Uniform Building Code. <br />3.2 CLEAN-UP <br />A. Keep the premises in a neat, safe, and orderly condition at all times during <br />execution of this portion of the work, free from accumulation of sawdust, cut <br />ends and debris. <br />06100-3 <br />
