The same rate <br />would be apply whether the City or the contractor performed the billing service; however, if the <br />contractor does the billing of residents, the lowest responsible bidder would then be BFI <br />Recycling Systems and their rate for the first six months of the program would need to be <br />negotiated. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />To approve/not approve funding the first six months of the recycling service from Landfill Tipping Fee <br />revenue at a cost of $24,150 with future services billed to residents at a cost of $2.15/month of $6.45 per <br />quarter. <br /> <br />To approve/not approve amending the recycling contract to specify the first stop at each address would be <br />for delivery of a recycling container and information with the pick-up service to begin on the next <br />regularly scheduled bi-monthly date. <br /> <br />To approve/not approve awarding the recycling contract to Ace Sanitation, the lowest responsible bidder <br />with the City performing the billing service. <br /> <br />To approve/not approve the addition to staff of a full-time Public Relations position to be funded from the <br />Landfill Tipping fee revenue. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attomey <br />City Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br />Public Works Supervisor <br /> <br />jml/9/20/90 <br /> <br />X <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer X <br />Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Park & Recreation Commission <br />Project Manager X <br /> <br /> <br />
