The property
line that borders the proposed site exists on a ridge of mature
oak trees. We are strongly opposed to any excavationof this ridge
of land due to the tremendous environmental, economical and
asthetic impact it would have upon us and neighboring residences.

~nvironmentally, the removal of this wooded ridge of land would
result in the loss of a vital natural resource area for wildlife.
Any excavation of soils from this area would also cause erosion
of the surrounding land which would be very detrimental to our
property and others around us.

Economically, we beleive that any excavation from the proposed
site for profit would reduce the property value of our home. If
that is the intended purpose of this request then it should be
considered a business venture and not allowed as indicated in
Ramsey City codes and ordinances.

Asthetically, excavation would leave the area unsitely, not to
mention the noise and dust from the large equipment used for
this purpose. There are also safety factors invovled, to our own

f '1%
