Councilnmnber introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION ~)1-01- RESOLUTION WAIVING HEALTH REIMBURSEMENT ALLOWANCE COUNCIL MEMBERS AND LIFE INSURANCE AND MEDICAL THROUGH LOGIS FOR RAMSEY CITY WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey in 1988, through Resolution #87-264, determined that it wa~ to its benefit to participate in LOOlS as an associate member with the initial intent of participating in the coordination of employee health and life care planning and service selection; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been participating in LOGIS for the years 1988, 1989 and 1990, and at the regular November 13, 1990 City Council meeting has approved the LOGIS group as medical/life insurance provider for the year 1991~ and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey City Council chooses to waive health and life insurance for the City Council and Mayor, with knowledge that to rejoin all members of City Council must petition and receive approval through the LOGIS Health and Life Insurance Committee; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey City Council chooses to waive the medical reimbursement allowance for health and life insurance. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby waives health and life insurance for the City Council and Mayor. 2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby waives the medical reimbursement allowance for health and life insurance for the City Council and Mayor. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 8th day of January, 1991. 9t5
