Counmlmembe~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #91-03 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE FOR BARGAINING UNIT CONTRACTS RECOMMENDATION OF THE THE 1991 AFSCME AND LELS WHEREAS, the Negotiating Committee consisting of Councilmembers Beyer, Hardin and Petcrson and Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney met and negotiated with the AFSCME and LELS bargaining units in January and February of 1991 for a one-year contract; and WHEREAS, there were tentative agreements made with both bargaining units contingent upon City Council approval and a bargaining unit membership vote; and WHEREAS, the City Council at their meeting of February 27, 1991 approved the recommendation of the Negotiating Committee for both bargaining units; and WHEREAS, both the AFSCME and the LELS bargaining unit memberships have voted to accept the offer for the one year contracts; and WItEREAS, the AFSCME and LELS 1991 contracts are being prepared for signing; and WHEREAS, after signing by appropriate City Staff and Union Representatives the 199 i contracts will take effect retroactive to January 1, 1991. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey approves the recommendation of the Negotiating Committee for the 1991 AFSCME and LELS bargaining unit contracts in accordance with the terms of this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 13th day of March, 1991.
