CASE # 7 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY VOLUNTEER(S) OF THE YEAR <br /> By: Penny Ott, Administrative Coordinator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On February 27,1991 the City of Ramsey adopted Resolution ~t91-02-042 proclaiming the week <br />of March 3-10, 1991 as Volunteers of America Week. Governor Arne Carlson has also <br />proclaimed April 21-27, 1991 as Minnesota Volunteer Recognition Week and communities are <br />asked to support and participate in local recognition of volunteer efforts. In 1990 the City Council <br />recognized Gary Reimann and Margaret Connolly as Ramsey volunteers of the year. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />If the City Council wishes to recognize volunteer(s) for 1991, nominations need to be made. If <br />nominations from the public are desired, an article could be placed in the Ramsey Resident <br />newsletter and a message run on Cable T.V. and the community sign.
