remain informed of all direction and alternatives regarding 'touchdown' options <br />adjacent to the R.O.W. of Riverdale Drive. The property on the north side, on either side <br />of BNSF Railway is owned by the City of Ramsey and MnDOT. <br />H. Adjacent Street Design: The skyway terminates at an elevated position at the <br />Northstar Rail Station on the north and on the south, at Riverdale Drive at grade. The <br />preliminary design shall address the extent to which this City street and MnDOT <br />roadways are impacted, considering both geometry and traffic. <br />Utilities <br />• Obtain utility location maps from the Utility Companies, which identify utility <br />facilities in the project area (including fiber optics). The field survey will locate <br />utility poles, manholes, valves, pedestals, guy wires, and other visible utility <br />features. Underground utilities will be shown as marked by utility companies. <br />Obtain invert elevations of manholes and vaults if applicable. Utility surveys will be <br />accomplished within the project limits. Show the horizontal and vertical locations in <br />the preliminary design plans and cross-sections. "Potholing" of utilities may be <br />required at critical locations. <br />• Submit necessary information for the future relocation or adjustment of affected <br />utilities to the City. The Consultant will assist in coordinating the processing of the <br />required agreements. <br />• The Consultant will attend coordination meetings with the affected utility companies <br />as required. <br />J. Electrical Engineering: Provide preliminary design services for new <br />improvements, including but not limited to lighting, security, surveillance and <br />communication systems. The surveillance systems will need to be discussed and <br />coordinated with Metropolitan Transit <br />K. Construction Phasing Plan: Develop a construction -phasing plan which <br />integrates the construction of all the project work elements into a practical and feasible <br />sequence with particular attention to the project's relation to Hwy's #10 & #169 and <br />BSNF and the Northstar rail station. Develop a preliminary traffic control plan that is <br />compatible with the phasing plan. <br />L. Sign Structures: An impact from the proposed skyway may be sightlines to the <br />existing COR sign from westbound Hwy's #10 & #169. The Consultant shall identify the <br />impacts from the skyway, and with the City's management team address whether the <br />existing sign structure can be remain, or be relocated, or otherwise be reconfigured at <br />new locations. <br />M. Preparation for the Preliminary Design Review Meeting <br />• Coordinate, complete and compile data from all activities: structural design, <br />geotechnical, hydraulics, utilities, urban design, traffic, right-of-way, etc. <br />• Compile Preliminary Design Plans including title sheet, survey control sheet, ROW <br />ownership map, existing site features, (including utilities), typical sections, general <br />notes, plan/profile sheets, landscaping, existing and proposed topography, existing <br />and proposed right-of-way, preliminary drainage design, geotechnical information, <br />detour plans and construction phasing.
