Based on our meeting, the scope of services would include engineering and surveying for the design and construction for parking areas, paths or trails, streets/access roads, storm sewer and ponding and minimal restoration. The ball fields would be constructed at a later date and the City would be responsible for planting trees on the site. Also, it is our understanding that you wish to minimize ponding and storm sewers by constructing swales and rain gardens. Following is a revised summary of estimated project costs based on the revised scope: Estimated Construction Estimated Proposed Improvement Cost Design Cost Parking Areas $235,000 $ 9,500 Trails $132,000 $ 3,000 Streets $128,000 $ 6,400 Storm Sewer and Ponding $ 60,000 $ 5,500 Restoration $ 30,000 $ 1,500 Totals $585,000 $25,900 Estimated Construction Technical Services Cost* $ 9,800 $ 1,000 $ 7,340 $ 4,800 $ 0 $22,940 *The construction tectmical services cost does not include the cost of construction observation, which was originally estimated to be $13,000. Based on our discussion, this cost would be included as a contingency to our contract so the City could utilize construction observation services on an as needed basis.
