Greg Peterson, Oakwood Land Development, explained he would make it clear that the home <br />could not have a deck off the rear of the property. He anticipated a smaller starter home would <br />be built on this lot. <br />Chairperson Levine recommended this sketch plan move forward to the City Council. <br />Development Services Manager Gladhill thanked the Commission for their comments. He noted <br />the Final Plat would be considered by the City Council at their February 25, 2014 meeting. <br />5.04: Review Armstrong West Citizen Engagement Process Feedback and Discuss <br />Alternatives Relating to Site Layout and Permanent Sign Standards in the COR -2 <br />(Retail) Sub - District <br />City Planner Anderson presented the staff report stating the purpose of this case is to consider <br />providing direction to Staff to prepare an Ordinance that would amend site layout and permanent <br />sign standards in the COR -2 Zoning Sub - District. He explained the City hosted a citizen <br />engagement discussion on potential future land uses for the area west of Armstrong Boulevard, <br />north of Highway 10 and east of The Links at Northfork. <br />5.05: Discuss and Consider Potential Amendments to City Code Section 117 -351 (Home <br />Occupation) <br />Presentation <br />City Planner Anderson presented the staff report stating the purpose of this case was to establish <br />a set of guiding principles in order to prepare an Ordinance to amend the City's Home <br />Occupation regulations. Staff requested direction from the Commission on the standards in <br />preparation of an Ordinance. <br />Commission Business <br />Chairperson Levine was in favor of looking at this Ordinance again as more people were working <br />from home these days. He supported staff moving forward with amendments to the home <br />occupation regulations. <br />Commissioner Bauer wanted to look at the differences between a home occupation that receives <br />customers versus those that worked off -site. <br />Commissioner Brauer agreed as there was a growing number of independent contractors. <br />5.06: Discuss Potential Amendments to City Code to Allow for Administrative Site Plan <br />Review for Building Expansions and Simple Lot Splits <br />Presentation <br />Planning Commission/February 6, 2014 <br />Page 5 of 7 <br />
