E -MAIL TO COUNCILMAN COOK <br />(copies to other Council members and neighbors) <br />COUNCILMAN COOK; <br />HERE IS MY E -MAIL RESPONSE THE SOME OF THE ITEMS THAT YOU ASKED FROM <br />ME IN RESPONSE TO THE LONG DISCUSSIONS THAT YOU, COUNCILMEMBER <br />KURAK AND ELVIG AND I HAD AFTER THE COUNCIL MEETING ON TUESDAY, <br />AUGUST 26TH. <br />PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I AM A RETIRED SCHOOL TEACHER WHO HAS ALWAYS <br />BELIEVED THAT AND TAUGHT THAT, WHEN YOU TALK WITH SOMEONE OR WRITE <br />TO SOMEONE, YOU ALWAYS PRESENT ALL THE DETAILS AND INFORMATION AS <br />HONESTLY AND COMPLETELY THAT IS LEGALLY POSSIBLE TO DO! <br />1). I WENT TO CITY HALL AND GOT A COPY THE MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL. <br />YOU WERE NOT CORRECT THAT E -MAIL ADDRESS WERE AVAILABLE FOR EACH. <br />ONLY YOURSELF AND COUNCILMEMBERS STROMMEN AND KURAK ARE PRINTED. <br />MAYOR GAMEC HAS ONE BUT ASKS PERSON TO BRING MATERIAL TO CITY HALL <br />AND A DESIGNATE PERSON WILL SEND IT TO HIM. COUNCILMAN ZIMMERMAN <br />HAS NO COMPUTER, AND COUNCILMEMBERS ELVIG AND PEARSON HAVE NONE <br />LISTED. <br />2). AS TO YOUR QUESTION OF HOW DID I THINK THE PEOPLE ON RIVLYN AVE <br />MIGHT FEEL ABOUT THE "MIXED USE" ZONING. AS I SAID THAT NIGHT, I HAD NOW <br />WAY OF KNOWING AND COULD NOT SAY BECAUSE WE HAD ONLY BEEN GIVEN <br />THE TWO CHOICES 'R' OR 'E' AND THAT YOU KNOW MY FEELING ABOUT WHICH <br />OF THE TWO WE WANT. <br />SINCE NONE OF US HAD HEARD OF THIS ZONING BEFORE YOU'RE BRINGING IT UP <br />AND THERE HAD BEEN NO EXPLANATION OF IT DURING THE COUNCIL MEETING <br />AND NONE OF YOU WHO TALKED WITH ME TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN IT TO ME, I <br />COULD NOT ANSWER FOR MYSELF OR SPEAK FOR ANYONE ELSE. <br />SO, I WILL SURVEY THE PROPERTY OWNERS IN THE NEXT WEEK(S) TO SEE <br />WHERE THEY MIGHT BE AT!!! I WILL SHARE THE RESULTS WITH ALL <br />COUNCILMEMBERS AT ONE OF THE NEXT COUNCIL MEETINGS (or at the Council <br />Planning session if and when it is held.) <br />However, since that night I have obtain copies of the pertinent July and August Council minutes <br />and of the "Mixed Use" zoning language. GUESS WHAT I found ? ?? That You and <br />Councilmembers Kurak, Elvig and Pearson were the makers and seconds of the motions for the <br />language and proper placement within the Ramsey Comprehensive Plan as Amended of MIXED <br />USE - PUD!!!! <br />Would you please share back to me why did not share this with me that night and EXPLAIN JUST <br />WHAT 'MIXED USE' ZONING WAS and how you thought it might applylf 1111 Finding these <br />things out after the fact offends me and my sense of fairness and honesty. (It sure looks like there <br />is behind the scenes motives and intend.) <br />3). WHERE DO I STAND ON "MIXED USE" FOR MY PROPERTY? -- -BASED ON THE <br />LANGUAGE OF THE DOCUMENTS AND THE FACT THAT THAT LANGUAGE HAD <br />BEEN IN EFFECT SINCE MONDAY, AUGUST 25th, AND THAT I AND OTHERS FROM <br />RIVLYN AVE WERE AT THE COUNCIL MEETING AS MUCH AS ONE (1) HOUR <br />BEFORE THE MEETING, AND THAT THERE HAD BEEN A BREAK JUST BEFORE THE <br />TAKING UP OF OUR REZONING MOTION FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND <br />THAT ONLY ONE OTHER COUNCILMEMBER HAS CONTACTED ANY OF USE <br />
