Council directs, staff will bring forward another project for consideration at the next Council <br />meeting. <br />Councilmember Backous stated he would prefer holding off on another project and instead to use <br />the $116,000 to off set Garnet Street costs and assessments. <br />City Engineer Westby stated another option is to use the $116,000 for street maintenance and <br />sealcoating, which would preserve streets last treated in 2007. <br />Councilmember Tossey stated there is also about $527,000 that was not used in 2013 that could <br />be used towards Garnet Street reconstruction. <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated there are some monies from the previous road reconstruction <br />project that were not used and remain available. <br />The Council supported the suggestion of Councilmember LeTourneau to consider a variety of <br />options including Garnet Street and maintenance /sealcoating projects. <br />Motion by Councilmember LeTourneau, seconded by Councilmember Backous, to adopt <br />Resolution #14 -04 -076 Accepting Bids and Authorizing Award of Contract for Improvement <br />Project 14 -00; 2014 Street Maintenance Program. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers LeTourneau, Backous, Johns, <br />Kuzma, Riley, and Tossey. Voting No: None. <br />7.04: Consider Lease Agreement with M & G Trailer Sales and Service for Use of City <br />Owned Land <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Brama reviewed the staff report and recommendation to <br />approve a Lease Agreement with M & G Trailer Sales and Service for the use of City -owned <br />land for outside sales and display of product. He advised that as a separate Council case, an <br />Interim Use Permit (related to land use) would need to be considered allowing for gravel <br />surfaces. Assistant to the City Administrator Brama presented the proposed five -year Lease <br />terms, noting it includes an early termination clause for Highway 10 improvements. <br />The Council acknowledged this is an opportunity to play a role in the growth of this business and <br />be flexible in the use of this property during the interim. <br />Motion by Councilmember LeTourneau, seconded by Councilmember Kuzma, to approve a <br />Lease Agreement with M & G Trailer Sales and Service for use of City -owned land. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers LeTourneau, Kuzma, <br />Backous, Johns, Riley, and Tossey. Voting No: None. <br />City Council / April 22, 2014 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />
